in japan my kids spent quite a lot of time in the car...and my car is a reflection of them with diapers, bottles and many-many things which make we think thrice about changing car.

we went to okayama with ramzi's family, about 156 km north of hiroshima, to visit a friend wak napi who is going back on 29th mac. he is in his last week of his 4 year stay in japan or rather okayama. we left saijo at 8.00 am and arrived okayama around 11.00 am on 2 sen, 'route 2', the 3 hours journey in the mild rain saw the same japanese scenery with bits of green. when gathered, kami bersembang sakan pasal kerja bila dah balik nanti....kisah-kisah lucu pun keluar, rasanya kalau satu hari sembang pun tak cukup. after lunch we went to the sky garden, took the rope way and let the children play...according to wak napi sakura is to bloom on this day 20/3 but it didn't. wak napi then took us to the 5-storeys recycle shop (things were exepensive) and we finished the day with the okayama's famous udon, the udon was very oishii, thanks to our host. wak's family are now in sarawak, they went home in february, ana nak sambut ibubapanya pulang dari mekah. wak tunggu graduation dan uruskan hantar kereta dan barang ke malaysia. he is the first to bring home harrier and we teased him a lot about his harrier yang diangkap sebagai kereta mewah di malaysia...apa pun selamat berangkat wak...have a safe journey and we'll see you again in Putrajaya in 2006...sayonara.
oh i had to tell that we had to leave the restaurant early when they politely asked us to vacant our tables because our children were making noise and disturbing other customers, our children what can i say were having time of their life...laughing and running around. orang jepun tak suka suasna bising bila makan...bagi mereka makan memerlukan penghayatan dan suara mereka bersembang pun kurang kedengaran. secara keseluruhannya anak jepun sangat berdidiplin walau di mana samada di kedai makan, shopping complexes dan lain-lain tempat awam...ibubapa jepun tak perlu nak meninggikan suara, nak jengil mata dan lain-lain yang sinonim dengan ibubapa di malaysia bila mengawai anak-anak.

sayonara kelas bara

hari ini adalah hari terakhir iman ke yochien untuk tahun 2003, sesi 2004 akan bermula pada 7 April 2004. tahun ini iman di kelas 'bara' atau bunga ros. semasa kami mengambil iman di sekolah tadi, ramai ibu-ibu yang menunggu anak-anak mereka...ibu-ibu jepun sungguh komited dengan anak-anak walaupun anak mereka hanya di yochien...pelbagai aktiviti yang dibuat oleh PTA (parents teacher assoc) bara yang aktif. namun mereka faham dengan situasi iman, parents sibuk dengan kelas, tidak mahir bahasa jepun dan terpaksa bergilir jaga 2 lagi adik iman di rumah. april ini inas & izz akan dihantar ke nursery, iman mungkin terpaksa berhenti dari yochien dan akan dihantar ke nursery untuk menjaga adik-adiknya...kami tidak pasti lagi.

mikangari & yuki

officially it's spring time, as told by Asri's sensei, as we have been hibernating since late autumn and thru winter...any plan to go out is most welcome. so yesterday we went for some mikan picking...there were ramzi, faizul & aizah, enny and also oba-chan. the mikangari is somewhere in akistu, near the seaside...the scenery was great with blue sea & sun. we had to go thru narrow road with sharp corners to the top of the hill. but when we reached there the sun suddenly dicided to give way to the cold wind..while taking the walk down to those mikan trees everyone was uttering the famous word.."sejuknya..sejuknya" indeed it was very cold..and there was also yuki falling...our first time in mikangari was greeted by yuki...the children were freezing, the mikans were icy cold....we could not eat more mikan...but we brought back more mikan than we could eat. thanks to oba-chan.

winter sonata part 3 - shobara revisited

I told you we will go to shabara again, never expected it will be this soon..we went again yesterday 29th Feb with Ramzi & family and also our good friend Aizah & Nazim. The night before it rained non stop...slimming our hope to enjoy our ski trip. When we reached Nekoyama Resort, Shobara...it rained lightly...we stopped at one of the cottage lodge...had lunch, took pictures and waited for Aizah & Nazim. We had to dress our entourage in their ski-uniform and it was time consuming...
We had fun at the ski-jo, fun watching our children enjoying the snow...and they really did enjoyed the snow, they ate tons of snow...next time maybe we should bring some syrup to flavour the snow.

kami berwinter sonata lagi...kali ni kami dan ramzi ke shobara about 2 hours drive from saijo. kami kecewa sebab hari hujan...lebat pulak tu. this time, Izz dah into snow unlike the last trip when she was so unsettled and fussy. will come here again...
